The Unblocked Method
Awareness, Alignment, Abundance: The Three Moves of The Unblocked Method
Most women don't have an information problem. You know when you're people-pleasing. You know when you're overthinking. You know you need to raise the price or have the conversation. And you still do the thing you said you weren't going to do anymore. Sometimes you watch yourself do it in real time.

If you are new here, What Is The Unblocked Method? is the overview. This page goes deeper into the three moves.
That gap is what The Unblocked Method is built for. It's a way of working at the level of identity instead of the level of behavior, because knowing your pattern and changing your pattern are two completely different things. Three moves: Awareness, Alignment, Abundance. See it. Shift it. Become magnetic.
Where the method came from
I was in my early twenties teaching fitness classes and personal training. I would give one woman a protocol and another woman essentially the same protocol. Same workouts, same nutrition. One woman would get the results. The other wouldn't drop a pound.
It wasn't the protocol. It was what each of them believed about herself, and the patterns running in the background. Those patterns were deciding the outcome before either woman ever showed up to the gym.
I've watched that same thing for years now with the women I coach. She reads the books. She goes to therapy. She journals about it and can tell you exactly where the pattern came from. A couple of weeks later, she's doing the thing again. Not because she's weak. Because her identity is trying to stay consistent with what it knows.
So the question I built my whole body of work around is this one: why do smart, capable, self-aware women repeat the same pattern even when they know better? And what actually changes it?
The problem isn't the behavior
Most of us try to change our lives at the level of behavior. I need to stop procrastinating. I need better boundaries. I need to be more consistent. So we buy a planner. We build a more intense morning routine. We write the affirmation every day and hope it lands.
I'm much less interested in what you're doing than in why you keep doing it. There's almost always a pattern underneath the behavior.
Say you launch something and it doesn't sell the way you expected. The obvious problem is "my launch didn't work." So you start solving that. New offer. New messaging. Lower price. Different funnel. Maybe a whole new niche.
But what if every time you feel uncertainty, your pattern is to distrust yourself? That's not a launch problem. That's a trust problem. New offer, same pattern. New relationship, same pattern. New year, same pattern. Your circumstances can change completely while the pattern stays exactly the same.
You are not broken. You are patterned.
The three moves
Awareness. See it.
You can't shift what you can't see. Awareness is the moment you stop responding to "reality" and notice you're responding to your interpretation of reality. The pattern stops being who you are and becomes something you can watch happening. That alone takes some of its power.
Alignment. Shift it.
This is where most approaches stop short. You don't fix the old identity with willpower or positive thinking. You step out of it. Alignment asks a different question: who am I being right now, and who do I choose to be instead? Not what fear chooses. Not what your conditioning chooses. What you choose, today. Alignment is the strategy.
Abundance. Become magnetic.
Abundance isn't just money. It's what becomes available when you stop spending your energy repeating patterns that recreate the results you don't want. Different decisions. Different conversations. Different standards. A different normal. And the capacity to hold more without shrinking, rushing, or abandoning yourself to keep it.
The engine underneath all three is what I call The Default Identity Loop. Something happens. You make it mean something. You respond from that meaning. The response creates a result. The result becomes evidence for what you already believed about yourself. Around and around. The method is how you see the loop, interrupt it, and start running a different one.
What makes it different from mindset work
Mindset work lives in your head. The loop lives in your nervous system. That's the whole distinction.
You can understand a pattern perfectly, articulate it beautifully, and still run it on Tuesday night at 10:47 when your husband says something or the bank account looks wrong. In that moment your brain isn't asking "what's the most aligned move for the woman I'm becoming?" It's asking "what worked last time?" Those are very different questions.
So the method doesn't ask you to think more positively about your pattern. It asks you to catch it while it's running and give yourself one different rep. Not ten things. One response that creates evidence for the woman you're becoming instead. The response can come before the belief. You can hold the boundary and still feel guilty. You can make the decision and still feel uncertain. Every time you do, your brain gets another piece of evidence that maybe this is who you are now.
That's identity change. Not affirmations. Evidence.
Do you need Human Design or the Enneagram for this?
No. The method works on its own, because the loop runs in every woman whether or not she's ever heard of a Generator or a Type 3.
Here's what the tools do. The Enneagram gives me a language for the strategy underneath the behavior: what are you trying to get, what are you trying to avoid, what feels threatening to your identity. Human Design gives me a lens on how you naturally operate when you're not forcing yourself into somebody else's way of doing life: how you use energy, how you actually make decisions, where you're susceptible to conditioning. Identity work asks the question that sits under both of them: who have you decided you are because of all of it?
The tools don't define you or put you in a box. They give you more information to work with. They make the method stronger and faster. They don't make it work. Your Enneagram number is not an excuse, and your Human Design chart is not a cage. These aren't boxes. They're mirrors.
What the work actually looks like
The goal isn't to stop having patterns. You're going to get triggered until the end of time. Sorry, but that's what's going to happen.
The goal is to stop letting unconscious patterns make your decisions for you. To increase the space between the trigger and the automatic response. To notice sooner and recover faster. Maybe last time you stayed in the spiral for three weeks and this time it lasted an afternoon. That's change. Maybe you typed the reactive text and then deleted it. That's change.
And the hardest time to see the loop is when you're inside it. That's why I built The Mirror, so there's somewhere to go in the moment itself, not next Thursday on a coaching call. It knows your patterns, your Enneagram, your Human Design, and the work you've already done. It doesn't tell you who to be. It shows you what's there.
Catch one pattern this week. Don't judge it. Just see it. Then choose.
Frequently asked questions
What is The Unblocked Method?
The Unblocked Method is Amy Sanders' framework for identity-level change, built for high-capacity women who understand their patterns and still repeat them. It moves through three phases: Awareness (see the pattern running), Alignment (choose who you're being instead), and Abundance (hold more without abandoning yourself). The engine underneath is The Default Identity Loop, the cycle by which your responses keep collecting evidence for the identity you already have.
What does "see it, shift it, become magnetic" mean?
It's the method in three moves. See it means catching the pattern while it's running instead of three days later. Shift it means choosing a different response in that moment, one that fits the woman you're becoming rather than the one you learned to be. Become magnetic is what happens when enough of those aligned reps stack up: the results you were forcing start arriving without the force, because you're no longer spending your energy on the old loop.
How is The Unblocked Method different from mindset coaching?
Mindset coaching works on your thoughts. The Unblocked Method works on the identity producing the thoughts. Insight lives in your head, but the loop lives in your nervous system, which is why you can understand a pattern completely and still run it under pressure. The method changes identity through repeated aligned responses that create new evidence, not through thinking more positively about the old pattern.
Do I need to know my Human Design or Enneagram type to use The Unblocked Method?
No. The loop runs in everyone, and the three moves work without either tool. Human Design and the Enneagram add context: the Enneagram names the strategy underneath your behavior, and Human Design shows how you naturally make decisions and use energy. They make the work sharper and faster. They don't make it work.
Who is The Unblocked Method for?
Women who have done the work (therapy, books, coaching, journaling) and still catch themselves repeating a pattern they can name. High-capacity women who are done proving, pushing, and pretending it's working, and who want to trust themselves more than they trust the next strategy.
Catch your loop while it’s running
Reading about the loop is a start. Catching it in your own life, in the moment it runs, is where it shifts. The Mirror walks you through my Unblocked Method one real situation at a time, and your Human Design and Enneagram take it deeper when you know them.
